Ernest | well in this case Nissan is paid for the vans by chevrolet up front. because its being made in a nissan factory, chevy wont be learing any manufacturing secrets any more than if they went out, bought one and reverse engineered it.. |

That have to be protecting themselves in some way unless the collab is extremely vital to their success. |

Do you really think they are going to hand over a proprietary product to a core competitor and not insulate themselves to a degree? There are agreements in place that when a manufacturer lends another thier design to be sold as a rebadge the rebadge cannot be priced within X of the original.
Dacia Duster/Nissan Terrano is a perfect example... by giving your tech to a competitor it allows them to see how its made and the development and manufacturing behind it so no matter what you are giving them information that previously was unobtainable. |

Being the successful brand they are they sure are smart enough to do this, plus to go through a process like that it has to go through a lot of people in a position of authority in the brand. |
