well in this case Nissan is paid for the vans by chevrolet up front. because its being made in a nissan factory, chevy wont be learing any manufacturing secrets any more than if they went out, bought one and reverse engineered it..

bowtie Being the successful brand they are they sure are smart enough to do this, plus to go through a process like that it has to go through a lot of people in a position of authority in the brand.
