GM Recalls the Chevy Express

Surprise, surprise. GM is issuing another recall. It spans many vehicles, one of which is the Chevy Express. The issue is a faulty chassis-control system that could fail and increase the risk of a crash.

The entire list of affected vehicles is as follows: Cadillac CTS, Escalade and Escalade ESV, Chevrolet Suburban and Tahoe, GMC Yukon and Yukon XL, Buick Enclave, Chevrolet Traverse, GMC Acadia, Chevrolet Express, GMC Savana, Chevrolet Silverado, GMC Sierra and Chevrolet Impala.

The vehicles are from the 2013 and 2014 model year.

No injuries or crashes related to the defect have been reported and GM says that only about one percent of the recalled vehicles have a bad control module that will need to be replaced.

This is the 69th recall for GM this year. They have recalled 29 million vehicles worldwide.

That's quite the list for a recall. Hopefully no one got into an accident because of this. Has there any reports of accidents because of this issue?

Those figures are really not going to do anything good for GN's reputation and it's no wonder people prefer the European models when they head out to the dealerships these days. Yeah, they may be a bit more expensive, but you don't skimp on quality especially when it involves how safe you're going to be sitting in a car!

It's definitely not and it's not something good to have with people by default being skeptical about GM, this just fuels that fire.

Making it even worse there's a lot of other vehicles people can choose from which is never a good thing. At this point we just have to keep a look out for how GM deals with this situation.

They need to keep an eye on the express, I think there was a recall this year for broken wheelchair ramps.

Fortunately that won't be much of an issue to the majority since that's a small percentage of owners.

Also I think the lack of interest on this forum is also a good sign of the small ownership going on here, unless it will pick up a year or two from now.
