Chevy City Express Rated at 24 MPG City and 26 MPG Highway

Chevy has announced the fuel efficiency ratings for the Chevy City Express. It has 24 mpg city, 26 mpg highway, and 25 mpg combined fuel economy.

Quote:
“The 2015 Chevrolet City Express is designed for our customers who are looking for a small, easy-to-maneuver, fuel-efficient, cargo-carrying vehicle,” declared Ed Peper, US vice president of GM Fleet & Commercial. “The fuel economy of the City Express will help stretch their dollar at the pump and give them the flexibility to invest the savings back into their business.”
Are you happy with these numbers? They seem pretty reasonable to me given that this is a delivery van. I'm sure there are other vans that have far worse numbers.

Compare that to 22 city, 30 highway, 25 combined for the Transit Connect with the 1.6 and 21 city, 19 highway and 24 combined with the 2.5L...

Not bad numbers to be honest, i think they're good enough.

I wonder if the NV will have its EPA numbers updated to match? I cant see why the City Express should pull down a better mileage than its donor. Mind you its only 1 MPG better

With vans like this I always am curious to see what the numbers are like when the van has a full load in it too. That is what it will be going through in the real world.

The EPA will not tell you that information. If your decision is hinging on that its better if you wait until City Express' are being tracked on Fuelly.

Wasn't expecting the EPA to give this info, but some website or forum will have the info eventually. Just got to be on the lookout for it.

From what i noticed the EPA is usually the first to get numbers out, or the car maker would post EPA suggest MPG's or just the car makers suggested MPG's
