The ON option should be what you're looking for since any door position should include closed.
I guess he figured it out, might be why there's no response |

Hopefully that answer above solved the problem since the ON position allows for it to stay on in any situation. |

The cargo lamp? This is what I found in the manual about it. The interior light switch has two positions and operates in any ignition switch position. ON: Turns the interior light on in any door position. The light turns off automatically after a period of time unless the ignition switch is turned to ACC/ACCESSORY or ON. OFF: Turns the interior light off and it will not come on regardless of the door position. |

Along the same lines... Anyone know if the cargo area lights can be made to turn on with doors closed? Seems like there's now way to get power to the back without the key in the ignition or the doors open. |

james | That's what I was thinking, the dealership should be the first go to, if that doesn't work then Chevy USA, give them a ring. But a good quick solution could be some independent shop. |

Have you by any chance reached out to the dealership as yet? Since it's a vehicle still under warranty there should be no problem in getting them to resolve it as a warranty job. |

mdbuilder | I do not know how to solve your problem but I will comment. The power to the outlet must be controlled by the BCM rather than the ignition. Power to the outlet turns on when you open the door, no ignition key required. I know this because I leave a cell phone in the car plugged in and when I open the door the phones screens lights up and indicates charging. This is on a Nissan NV200 but same vehicle... |
