| BluePlumber | This will be my first experience with wood shelves. They are 1x10's, with little parts bins. The heavier tools are behind the seats, or on wider shelves. The other day I was kitted with the rodding equipment which added 300 pounds. I drove about 100 miles and mpg was 23.5. It dogged on some hills, that's about it. |

I just got done kitting out my van. I made wooded shelves to keep things lighter than the metal....and cheaper! All loaded with what I think I need and we weigh in with about 700 pounds. Took her for a cruise and I had no issues getting up to speed limits. I drive slow anyway. Did about ten miles and the mpg went up to 23. |

Correct, volume is the motivator. Low volume is good for small companies but as always big car makers like GM will want this segment to have well established demand before delving in, cutting losses and efficiently using their capital. |

Bowtie- I'm thrilled with my new City Express. I don't haul heavy cargo generally, or expect this to be a muscle car. It works great for me especially in light of its 27+ mpg i'm getting mixed highway & local. I think the CVT makes this 130hp work as its always in the optimum gear ratio. Is power sufficient? With 131HP @ 5200RPM and 139TQ @ 4900, do you guys find power to be sufficient or could chevrolet do things to improve to make the City Express a better vehicle? |
